I use a mixture of techniques, but focus mainly on what is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, or CBT. This means that through changing our thoughts, we can also change our feelings and behaviors. Most of our behaviors are learned reactions to situations; by learning a new response we can change an outcome of a given situation.
My techniques are researched based and effective for making a change in your life. By breaking out of unhelpful thinking patterns, we can replace them with more productive, healthier patterns and ways of thinking. My work is 'client centered', meaning that we set goals together. We discuss our progress towards those goals, and make changes as needed. |
