No Surprises: Good Faith Estimate
I know starting therapy can feel like a big step—and I want the financial side to feel simple and clear.
If you’re paying out of pocket (not using insurance), you're entitled to a Good Faith Estimate. That just means we’ll give you a clear idea of what your sessions will cost before you get started.
My cost per 50- minute session is $185.00. While it is difficult to provide an estimate for your particular situation on this website, we can do some general averages. Assuming you attend 6 sessions of psychotherapy, the total for 6 visits would be $1,110.00. Some clients attend more sessions, some clients attend less.
The purpose of the No Surprises Act is to (in part) make sure that you know you could receive services at a significantly lower price if you chose to use your insurance.
Here’s what to expect:
- You can ask for an estimate anytime.
- If your bill ever ends up being $400+ more than the estimate, you can dispute it.
